Once upon a time,
In a land just down Route One, There lived a lonely fellow, Who was searching for someone. The women of his little burg Had all but let him down, And so he went online to find A girl from out of town.Yet much to his dismay Was he quickly disappointed To discover a harem of incoherence, And sentences disjointed. ‘Your’ and ‘you’re’, ‘there’ and ‘their’ If one were seeking love, thought he, Dejected, ready to sign off, And lo! did fortune smile, A princess from a northward land A practiced pen was evident He wanted to know more ’bout her Hence this introduction Have a groovy day, Mike |

Well done. I’m positively impressed and that is a rare
occurrence. Also, I see you’re a bike shop owner. Do you have any pink bikes in stock?Professionally, I am not an author. But, I do write a lot of nonsense (similar to that found in my profile) on facebook and my blog. |

I too was in the market
For a bike of pinkish hue Unfortunate was I to find That the following is true: The only ones that come in pink Are cruisers for the beach With big fat saddles and tall bars For comfort and easy reach. If that’s your aim and prize If it’s indeed the ride you seek I’m sure I could accomodate Got one in stock, I think. So now it’s time to cease to rhyme For excess can leave one cold And we all know that’s not the goal In this yardsale of souls.I’d very much like to read some more of your nonsense. I can’t say that your profile was very informative, but it was certainly the one of the most entertaining things I’ve read in a while. Where can your blog be found? Professional problem solver? Shrink, superhero, mathematician, or other? |

Hi Momo,Enjoyed reading your blog over dinner tonight. You certainly have a way of turning daily mundanity into compelling reading. Naturally, I particularly enjoyed reading about your 8 mile bike odyssey, and your Scorcese-suffering-from-Tourettes description of all the hillage. Not very eloquent, but entirely accurate. That said, I’m afraid I don’t think we’d be much of a match for each other. Our greatest commonality seems to be the cynical and saturnian sides of each of our personalities, and I’m not looking nourish those traits in myself.
So, thank you for the interesting reads. I hope you end up finding someone, or at least someone who can provide you with a good story. Have a groovy day, Mike |
