Online Dater Caught Ctrl-C/Ctrl-V-handed

Posted by Princess MoMo on Feb 24 in Epic fails, Men, Online dating

It’s relatively easy to identify a cut and paster of messages on dating websites.  And, sometimes, if there remains any doubt, after a little bit of waiting out, you may receive the same exact message more than once from the person.  For those of you unfamiliar with the cyber-world love quest rituals, lazy specimens send the same message over and over and over to different recipients in hopes that one (or more) will take the bait.  Here is an example of a Cut/Paster caught:

Hey name is Zack, I am new to this site so I am going to keep this short and to the point. I liked reading your profile, and I think you seem like a down to earth girl. I would like to talk to you and get to know you. Hopefully I hear back from you.

Analysis: Zack – It’s self-evident that you A.) did not read my profile, B.) do not think I’m down to earth (whateverf that means), and C.) cut and paste this message to me, not once, but twice. FAIL. Next.

What’s the big deal? He’s just making online dating even MORE efficient by sending the same message everyone. Respect.
