Princess MoMo

I’m out of titles for the Mr. Lambo series.  As usual, the pink Editor’s Notes provide my commentary.

Recently Princess and I have not been spending much time together. We live different lifestyles which sometimes makes it difficult for our schedules to match. I prefer to wake up at an early hour and get to the gym first thing in the morning. What’s nice is that I am normally driving to the gym when she is driving to work. During the day, Princess stays busy with her 9-5 while I spend time making phone calls, planning future events, driving hundreds of miles, and doing construction on the house.  [Editor’s Note: My “9-5” isn’t quite that short in duration.]  My upcoming months are swamped with work. For the first time in 2 years, I am attempting to host 3 events in 2 weeks. Along with my other businesses, I am short on time during the evenings and weekends. This lack of time seems to bother Princess, and rightfully so. I sound like a broken record, but Princess takes my breath away. What’s disheartening is that we went from having multi-hour conversations to talking sporadically throughout the day/night. [Editor’s Note: It’s almost as though we’ve run out of things to say to one another.]  It’s hard for me to go long periods without talking to her, but I tend to get so occupied that I don’t take even a minute to send her a text. [Editor’s Note: Here’s my argument with respect to “I’m too busy to text.”  Do you have time to take a piss? Well, sending a text takes less time.  So, if you’ve relieved your bladder, don’t give me shit about you’re too busy to text.  I’m not trying to have a conversation via text message, but a simple, “Hey, I’m thinking of you” goes a long way.]   I know there isn’t an excuse, I’m just stating facts. One thing is for sure, I miss her more than she can even imagine.

One night last week [January 23] Princess and I agreed to make time and meet up since it felt like an eternity since we spent time together. She suggested a nice Thai restaurant in her community. I spent some time in Asia, including Thailand, and enjoy Asian cuisine. The restaurant had a warming atmosphere. We arrived shortly after 7pm. [Editor’s Note:  It was well after 7 when we arrived.  I recall this for two reasons.  First, I was famished by the time he got there around 8:30.  Second, not too long into our meal, he took a conference call and later told me that every Monday at 9 p.m., he partakes in this call.]  Since I never ate at that establishment, I decided to trust the selection Princess made. The food portion was more than enough and it was nice to eat somewhere slightly more intimate than Denny’s :) [Editor’s Note: Denny’s sucks. Do not ever, ever, ever take a female there.]  We sat across from each other holding back our smiles. After we finished our meals, Princess scurried around the table to come sit by me again. Like other times, we talked about how life is going, what’s been new, and just appreciated the fact that we each had someone we can confide in. Again, I got to hold her which I was yearning for since our last meeting.

The restaurant staff kept coming to our table to see if we were ready to pay and leave. I got the hint after the 14th or 15th time, so we paid and left. Again we headed to the only other place open in her area that late [Friday’s]. There we ordered some drinks and just relaxed together. [Editor’s Note: The conference call was still going at this point.] I left that evening feeling better. I had a taste of Princess again to hold me over to the next encounter. By the time I got in my car, I missed her. My one regret is not continually letting her know that she is always on my mind. In time I hope to get better at this dating thing. Hopefully she can put up with my flaws until they are all corrected.
