At the conclusion of date one, Mr. Rx and I spoke on the phone.  He admitted that he was wearing pink underwear.  I didn’t believe him.  When he arrived home, he snapped a picture.  See below.

I responded, “Hahaha and it’s a mirror in the bathroom pic!”  He replied, “Well how else am I supposed to take a pic of myself smartass.  Officially cut off from sexy picture time lol”

The morning following date one, Mr. Rx and I had the following text exchange:

Princess MoMo: [My coworker] is about to get the low down.

Mr. Rx: Do your worse.

Princess MoMo: You mean worst?

Mr. Rx: Lol something like that.

Princess MoMo: I can’t wait to hear about all of the lies you tell him.

Mr. Rx: I told him how you were concerned about my height. Maybe because of your advanced age you’re not as nimble. May have to blow the dust off that thing hahaha

Princess MoMo: Well, at least one of us will be blowing something in that case.

I should mention at this point that Mr. Rx is younger than I am by a whopping year and four months.  But, from his perspective, it seems as though we’re generations apart.  I suppose he’s accustomed to dating females much younger than he is.  In fact, my supposition has been confirmed by my coworker who set us up.  However, the girl immediately preceding me was older than I am.  Mr. Rx says it’s different though because she was “shy and quiet” as opposed to me “talking a lot.”  So, in short, he’s not in the habit of dating assertive, independent women.

Other notable texts post-first date:

Princess MoMo: You’re a promise breaker.

Mr. Rx: How so?

Princess MoMo: There was no booty drop last night.

Mr. Rx: Didn’t want to send you home all hot and bothered.

Princess MoMo: Or maybe you didn’t want to drop any lower to the ground.

Then, on July 2, came the request for date two.

Mr. Rx: So if I wear my tall shoes when can I see you again?

Princess MoMo: Tomorrow is good.

Mr. Rx: Ok sounds good. What did you want to do?

Princess MoMo: Want to go see Ted?

Mr. Rx: Sure, that looks pretty funny.

The fact that he resorted to me for an idea for the second date kind of annoyed me, but I was willing to contribute a suggestion because I did want to see that movie.  One would think that after being scolded for his lateness on date one that he’d be timely for date two.  That thought proved wrong.  In anticipation of his lateness, I left the office later than I should have to meet him at the time we agreed upon.  But still, I beat him there and had to wait for his untimely appearance.  Bad move, Mr. Rx.

We walked into the theater and he approached the ticket-selling machine.   He purchased the tickets and then proceeded to the shit-food selling counter.  He asked if I wanted anything.  I said, “No, thanks.”  He ordered a soda and thankfully not any of that dreadfully fragranced popcorn.  We went to the theater and were seated.  Granted, I recognize that a movie is not necessarily a great first or second date idea because it inhibits the ability to converse and get to know one another.  This movie seemed worth it though.  Also, it allows the guy ample opportunity not to fuck up  because he can’t talk much.  Or so I thought…

At one point in the movie, Mila Kunis is walking back into her apartment.  She’s wearing a white dress.  As a female, I didn’t find this to be a particularly sexually provocative scene.  Apparently, Mr. Rx begged to differ.  As I sat directly next to him, he audibly sounded out, “Ummmm” during this scene.  I sat there stunned.  Was this guy really grunting like that at such a sexually innocent scene on date two?  I considered walking out, but I wanted to see the rest of the movie because it was fairly amusing.  In my mind, I pretty much wrote him off at this point.

The movie ended and we made our way to Unos because it was located in the same parking complex as the theater.  When we arrived, there was a wait.  We took our little vibrating notifier to the bar as we awaited a table.

To Be Continued…
